Tsvetelina Ilieva

Political Administrator at Council of the European Union

Tsvetelina Ilieva is a seasoned Political Administrator with a strong background in EU relations and transport policy. Since October 2013, Tsvetelina has been contributing to the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union by coordinating the work of Council Working Parties focused on Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Asia, Oceania, as well as Energy and Customs Cooperation. Previously, Tsvetelina served as a Policy Officer at the European Commission from November 2007 to July 2013, where responsibilities included preparing compliance reports for Serbia's EU membership criteria and managing EU accession negotiations. Prior experience includes serving as an Expert at the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Bulgaria from June 2001 to November 2007, coordinating positions for EU negotiations on transport infrastructure. Tsvetelina holds a Master's degree in International Economic Relations from the Academy of Economics D.A. Tsenov and has foundational education from the Asen Zlatarov Language School.
