Brian Garcia

Brian Garcia is a Research Manager at the Council of the Great City Schools since May 2022, bringing a wealth of experience from various roles in education and policy. Previously, Brian held a Research and Policy Intern position at the American Youth Policy Forum in late 2021 and served as a Recruitment Associate at Teach For America from July 2017 to August 2021. Earlier in the career, Brian worked as a Math Support staff member at Uncommon Schools and as a 1st grade Teacher at Weldon Elementary School, where responsibilities included teaching core subjects to young students. Brian's dedication to education began with a role as a Corps Member with Teach For America from June 2013 to June 2015. Brian earned a Master's degree in Public Policy from The George Washington University in May 2022 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2012.
