Terri Bunting

Vice President, Managed Care at Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio

Terri Bunting is Vice President of Managed Care at Council on Aging. She oversees several Medicaid and Managed Care long-term services and supports programs including Passport Waiver, Assisting Living Waiver, Aetna MyCare Ohio, Molina MyCare Ohio, and Aetna Specialized Recovery Services Program.

Terri’s more than 15 years’ experience as a social worker are framed by 10 of those years spent in the health care arena and Medicaid space. Her previous roles include Child Welfare Case Manager, Discharge Planner, Incident Investigation Supervisor, Manager Long-Term Services and Supports, and Center Operations Director. Before coming to COA, Terri was the Manager of Long-Terms Services and Supports for Molina Healthcare of Ohio.

Terri holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Wright State University and a Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University. Additionally, Terri is a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio and holds certifications as an Accredited Case Manager from the American Case Management Association and as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality from the National Association for Healthcare Quality.

In addition to her work at Council on Aging, Terri has a passion for developing other professionals and has provided over 1,000 hours of continuing education to nurses and social workers throughout Ohio.

She is an adjunct faculty member at Southern New Hampshire University in the Integrated Health Practice Programs. From 2012-2016, Terri work earned her Continued Education Provider status from the state of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
