Banashree Thapa is a dedicated professional with a robust background in environmental research and management. Currently serving as a Program Associate focused on Green Economy and Nature-based Solutions at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), Banashree specializes in estimating the green jobs potential and market opportunities for Nature-based Solutions in India. Previously, as a Research Lead at Earthly, Banashree managed a diverse project portfolio across Africa, Latin America, and South Asia, ensuring projects met high standards for carbon permanence and socio-ecological impact. Banashree also has experience as a Research Associate at Earthly, where a project assessment framework was co-developed, and collaborations were established with strategic partners. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford, along with degrees in Botany and a diploma in Environmental Law and Policy.
