Elise Labott

Elise Labott is an accomplished journalist and academic with extensive experience in international relations and media. Currently serving as the Edward R. Murrow Press Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations since July 2024, Elise also runs Zivvy News as Founder and Editor-in-Chief. In addition, Elise is an Adjunct Professor at the American University School of International Service. Previous positions include Contributing Editor at POLITICO Magazine, Guest Host for SiriusXM, Columnist for Foreign Policy, and Journalist in Residence at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service. Elise's notable tenure at CNN as a Global Affairs Correspondent and Foreign Affairs Reporter spanned nearly two decades. Elise holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from The New School.
