Kennan Hedrick

Kennan Hedrick serves as the Principal Director in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, focusing on OSD Policy and Information Operations Policy since July 2014. Previous roles include Director for Global Posture Policy, with acting directorships in 2020 and 2017 for global posture and Iraq respectively, along with experience as Country Director for Iraq and Syria. In the United States Army Reserve, Kennan Hedrick holds the position of Political-Military Affairs Officer and has served as a Deputy Military Advisor, among other roles. Additional involvement includes work as a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and past military experience as a Squadron Intelligence Officer in the US Army. Educational qualifications include a Master's in National Security Strategy from the National War College, an MA in International Affairs from The George Washington University, and a BA in International Politics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
