Samuel J. Scroggins

Samuel J. Scroggins is a Managing Director in Lazard’s Global Power, Energy & Infrastructure Group, with experience in investment banking since 2016. Currently, Scroggins is also a Corporate Leader in the Council on Foreign Relations’ Corporate Leaders Program and serves on the Board of Visitors at West Virginia State University, contributing to the institution's advocacy and development efforts. Prior roles include serving as an attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP from 2013 to 2016, specializing in the energy industry, and a brief stint as a professional athlete with the Detroit Lions in 2010. Scroggins holds a Doctor of Law from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, as well as a Doctor of Humane Letters degree and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia State University.
