Sebastian Mallaby

Sebastian Mallaby is a Paul A. Volcker Senior Fellow in International Economics and Director of the Center for Geoeconomic Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, a position held since 2007. Mallaby has authored several notable works, including "The Power Law," which examines venture capital, "The Man Who Knew," detailing the life of Alan Greenspan, and "More Money Than God," which explores the rise of hedge funds. Prior to these roles, Mallaby served as a columnist and editorial board member at The Washington Post from 1999 to 2007 and worked at The Economist from 1987 to 1999 as a bureau chief and staff writer. Mallaby's education culminated at the University of Oxford, contributing to a distinguished career in economics and financial journalism.
