JoAnn H. has a diverse work experience. JoAnn started their career in 2007 as a Research Assistant at San Francisco State University, where they worked until 2008. In 2008, they joined Asbestos TEM Laboratories, Inc. as a Sr. PLM Asbestos Analyst and also took on the role of Lead Analyst. Later, they became the PLM Technical Manager at the same company in December 2015. In 2018, JoAnn joined the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) as a Lead Project Manager.

JoAnn H. has a diverse education history. JoAnn started their educational journey at the University of California, Berkeley from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering. JoAnn then attended San Francisco State University from 2005 to 2008 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geosciences.

In 2013, JoAnn enrolled at Solano Community College and completed their Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Water and Wastewater Engineering in 2016. Continuing their education, they attended Maryland University of Integrative Health from 2019 to 2021, focusing on Clinical Herbal Medicine and earning a Master of Science degree.

Apart from their traditional education, JoAnn has also obtained several certifications. In 2011, they received the NIOSH 582 certification from the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). JoAnn is also a certified ServSafe California Food Handler, having completed the course offered by the National Restaurant Association in August 2017.

Furthermore, JoAnn holds two certifications related to water management. In November 2019, they obtained the Water Distribution Operator, Grade D1 certification from the State Water Resources Control Board. Additionally, they obtained the Water Treatment Operator, Grade T2 certification in July 2020, also issued by the State Water Resources Control Board.
