Ahmed Mohammed

Ahmed Mohammed is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Director of Finance and Operations at Counterpart International since December 2023. Previously, Ahmed held the position of Finance Officer at Chemonics International from April 2022 to July 2023, where responsibilities included reviewing payment requests and recording transactions in the company's accounting system. Ahmed also worked at General Trading Company from February 2017 to April 2022, overseeing monthly financial close processes, supporting bids and tenders, mentoring the finance team, and managing cash flow and audits. Additionally, Ahmed has extensive experience in financial and administrative roles at Management Systems International, contributing to compliance with USAID regulations and preparing tax reports. Earlier experience includes a role as an HSE Officer at Al-Tafaweq Company for General Contracting and academic qualifications in law and physics from Ashor University College and the University of Baghdad, respectively.
