Matt Makinson

Matt Makinson has a diverse work experience in the supply and trading industry. Matt is currently working as the Vice President - Supply & Marketing at CountryMark since January 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Supply at the same company from August 2017 to January 2020, where they managed a team responsible for purchasing crude and distributing products through pipelines. Before joining CountryMark, Matt was the Manager of Crude Oil, Asphalt & NGL Supply, responsible for managing the supply of crude, asphalt, and gasoline feedstocks/NGL to a refinery. Matt negotiated contracts and optimized logistics from March 2015 to August 2017.

In the earlier years of their career, Matt worked as a Trader for Black Oils and NGLs at CountryMark from August 2013 to May 2015. Matt also gained experience in commodity hedging as a part of Weaver Popcorn/Welcome Futures, LLC from June 2008 to August 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Trader at Kingstree Trading from July 2004 to June 2008 and as a Broker at R.J. O'Brien & Associates from June 2003 to January 2005. Matt started their career as a Bean Options Clerk at Prime International Trading from March 2004 to July 2004.

Matt Makinson obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Ball State University's Miller College of Business. Matt attended the university from 1998 to 2003.
