Justin Wier

Justin Wier joined Allegheny County as a CountyStat Analyst in March 2022. Before embarking on a career as a data analyst, Justin spent several years working in journalism.

A native of New Castle, PA, Justin graduated from Youngstown State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and economics. He later pursued a graduate degree at Slippery Rock University, earning his master’s in data analytics in 2021. In the interim, Justin worked for The Vindicator in Youngstown, Ohio.

Justin’s understanding of municipal government and his aptitude for working with data led him to his current position.
