Janet st Clair

Janet St Clair has extensive experience in leadership roles within the public and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as County Commissioner for Island County WA since January 2019, Janet previously held the position of Executive Director at Sound Water Stewards of Island County from December 2017 to December 2018, focusing on volunteer training for the Puget Sound. Janet's background includes roles as Northwest Washington Regional Director for the Children's Home Society of Washington and Deputy Director at Asian Counseling and Referral Service, where oversight encompassed finance, program development, and human resources. Additionally, Janet served as Area Director for Lutheran Community Services Northwest, managing child welfare and support programs across seven counties, and as Regional Director at EMQ FamiliesFirst, directing foster care and adoption services.
