Alan Clinton is an experienced professional with a strong background in planning and geographic information systems. Currently serving as an Administrative Planning Officer and Disaster Assistance Recovery, Mitigation, & GIS Officer with the County of Kauaʻi since January 2020, Alan has previously held roles as a Graduate Fellow at EmpowerBus and a Graduate Student Intern in the City of Columbus's Department of Technology. Alan's early career included internships with the County of Kauaʻi's Planning Department and research at the Emery Lab in the Department of Biology. Academic credentials include a Master’s in City and Regional Planning with a focus on GIS from The Ohio State University, a Master’s in Geography from Lund University, and a Bachelor’s in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from Purdue University.
