Scott Abbott is an experienced program manager currently overseeing the Mental Health Service Act (MHSA) and housing programs for the County of Lake since January 2019, where responsibilities include managing 3-year MHSA plans and stakeholder processes. Previously, Scott served as the Behavioral Health Compliance Manager for the County of Mendocino from April 2016 to January 2019, focusing on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in the Mental Health Department. Before that, Scott held various roles at the County of Lake, including Compliance Manager and Managed Care Clinical Coordinator, where oversight of compliance issues and managed care responsibilities was primary. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, both from Brigham Young University.
County of Lake
The County of Lake provides a variety of services to Lake County residents and visitors, including public protection, health and sanitation, public assistance, libraries, agricultural assistance, parks, recreational and cultural activities, elections, planning, behavioral health services, and infrastructure. Many of the the County's services are provided Countywide, while others are provided only to the residents of the unincorporated areas.
