San Diego Public Defender
Julia Olson has extensive experience in public defense, currently serving as a Deputy Public Defender at the San Diego Public Defender since January 2018. Prior roles include Certified Law Clerk positions with the Riverside Public Defender and San Diego Public Defender, as well as a Law Clerk position with the Ventura County Public Defender. Additional experience includes volunteering with the ACLU of Southern California and various research assistant roles. Julia Olson earned a Juris Doctor degree in Critical Race Studies from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Educational background includes completion of the International Baccalaureate program at Mission Bay High School.
