Leanne Hamilton is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in family law and criminal defense. Currently serving as a Deputy Public Defender at the Colorado State Public Defender since June 2019, Leanne previously worked in the Albuquerque felony division of the New Mexico Public Defender from April 2013 to June 2019. Leanne's background includes being an Associate Attorney at Hurth, Sisk & Blakemore LLP, where responsibilities encompassed various family law cases. Additionally, Leanne owned a private practice focusing on family law and criminal defense, and held roles in complex civil litigation and legal aid. An accomplished legal scholar, Leanne earned a J.D. from the University of Colorado and a B.A. in Philosophy from New York University.
