Amy Hoffman

Amy Hoffman serves as the Chief Deputy and Trial Attorney at the Multiple Conflicts Office - Major Cases since September 2021, where advocacy focuses on legal representation for individuals accused of homicide, guiding clients from arraignment through trial and beyond. Concurrently, Hoffman has been a Deputy Public Defender for the County of San Diego since February 2007, managing a wide array of cases from misdemeanors to homicides and overseeing all litigation phases. In addition to direct representation, Hoffman holds the position of Supervising Attorney, overseeing attorneys involved in the civil commitment of individuals with mental disorders. Educational background includes a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Spanish from Indiana University Bloomington.
