Aurora Kiviat

Aurora Kiviat possesses extensive experience in public health and policy within the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, holding various leadership roles since October 2011, including Assistant Director of Behavioral Health Services and Deputy Director of Operations for the Medical Care Services Division. A temporary assignment as Director of Policy and External Affairs took place from July to November 2024. Prior roles include serving as a Legislative Policy Advisor with the Office of Strategy and Intergovernmental Affairs and as a Health Care Policy Consultant at Operation Access. Kiviat also gained valuable experience as a Board Fellow at the Housing Consortium of the East Bay and as a Program Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Development Sociology from Cornell University.
