Kimberly Giardina

Kimberly Giardina, DSW, is an experienced leader in child welfare and social work, currently serving as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer at the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency since February 2014. Kimberly has held several prominent roles, including Director of Child and Family Well-Being, Acting Child Welfare Director, and Deputy Director for the Policy and Program Support Division. Previous experience includes managing the Protective Services Program and leading Child Welfare Training Innovations, which focused on improving outcomes for children through specialized training for child welfare staff. Kimberly's educational credentials include a Doctor of Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Master's in Social Work from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Psychology from the University of San Diego.
