Maykent Salazar

Maykent Salazar is an experienced professional with a diverse background in policy advising, business consulting, and social services. Currently serving as a Policy Advisor in the Office of Chairwoman Vargas for the County of San Diego, Maykent has previously held roles as a California Air Resources Board Fellow and a Graduate Student Fellow. Maykent's consulting experience includes a position at Emzingo & EmzingoU, along with research work as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies. Early career highlights include roles as a Social Worker and Administrative Assistant for the County of Imperial and as a Health Promoter for Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest. Maykent holds a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy and completed an exchange program in International Relations and Affairs at the University of Oxford in 2012.
