Taryell Simmons

Taryell Simmons is a skilled professional with extensive experience in equity, workforce development, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of the Office of Equity & Racial Justice for the County of San Diego, Taryell's career includes roles such as Human Resources Services Manager and HR Analyst focused on talent development. Taryell is also the Podcast Host for RISE Urban Nation and a founding member of San Diego Tech Hub. Additionally, as a Workforce Development Consultant for Sage Business & Education, Taryell develops initiatives to enhance Career Technical Education (CTE) opportunities. Previous roles include co-founding Culture Cocina, managing urban workforce development programs, and consulting for various foundations. Taryell's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Organizational Management and a certificate in Fundraising and Development from UC San Diego.
