Julie Costa

Julie Costa has extensive experience in law enforcement, serving at the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office since 1991, with a career progression from Correctional Officer to Deputy Sheriff, Administrative Classification Detective, and ultimately Sheriff’s Sergeant. As a Sheriff's Sergeant in the Alternative Sentencing Bureau, responsibilities include overseeing programs such as Electronic Monitoring, Work Furlough, and the Sheriff's Work Program. Additionally, Julie has a background in customer service and commercial billing from Browning Ferris Industries. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Communications from California State University-Sacramento and is POST certified in law enforcement from Gavilan College.
