Kismet Baldwin-Santana

Kismet Baldwin-Santana serves as the Health Officer for the County of San Mateo since August 2023, following a tenure as Interim Health Officer at the County of Sonoma Department of Health from April to August 2023, and as Deputy Public Health Officer from July 2020 to May 2023. Kismet has extensive experience in public health, including roles as Quarantine Medical Officer for Caduceus Healthcare from February 2020 to May 2023 and Public Health Officer at San Joaquin County Public Health Services from February 2018 to November 2019. Kismet's educational background includes a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and medical training from The Ohio State University, along with fellowships in pediatrics and stem cell gene therapy at UCLA. Kismet's expertise encompasses medical policy development, communicable disease management, public health strategy, and neonatal care.
