Vince Nixon is an accomplished safety and health professional with diverse experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as the Safety/Privacy Officer for the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department since March 2024, Vince previously worked as an Environmental Health Safety Specialist Contractor at MANN+HUMMEL, focusing on EPA documentation for hazardous chemical management. As the Chief Hospitality Officer and Owner of Refugio California LLC from June 2021 to October 2023 and as a former Occupational Health and Safety Program Manager and Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at Procore Technologies, Vince has demonstrated a commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being. Earlier career highlights include serving as a FEMA Disaster Safety Adviser with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and 25 years with the Los Angeles Fire Department, where Vince held various roles culminating as Fire Captain.
