Karen Denise Walker

Karen Denise Walker possesses over three decades of extensive experience in cardiovascular services, currently serving as the Director of Cardiovascular Services at the County of Santa Clara since April 2021. Walker is also the President and CEO of Cardiology Business Solutions and the Nurse Leadership Academy International since February 2018, focusing on cardiovascular program development and enhancing nursing leadership. Previous roles include Director of Cardiovascular Services at HCA Healthcare, Administrator for the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Department at Rush University Medical Center, and various directorial positions at Detroit Medical Center and Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. Walker holds a Master's degree in Nursing Administration from North Park University and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Tuskegee Institute.
