Jiyoon Sung

Jiyoon Sung is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at Coupang since January 2023. Prior experience includes positions as a Mentor at Fintech Center Korea, where mentorship was provided to fintech startups on legal issues, and as an Attorney at Kang Han Partners, managing over 60 civil and criminal cases for clients including Samsung C&T and Doosan Heavy Industries. Jiyoon held the role of In-House Counsel at Korea Venture Investment Corporation, overseeing numerous legal matters, regulatory affairs, and compliance programs. Previous experience also as an Associate Attorney at LOGOS Law LLC involved providing legal counsel to multiple companies and handling over 80 cases. Jiyoon Sung is pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Korea University, complementing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) obtained from the same institution. Education was initiated at Daewon Foreign Language High School.
