Syafri Bahar FRM® is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science and analytics within the financial services and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Group Head of Data Science & Analytics and VP of Data Science at Gojek since September 2018, Syafri plays a pivotal role in harnessing data to drive significant business growth. Prior to this, positions included VP of Data at FinAccel, where Syafri successfully expanded the Data Science and Data Engineering teams, and Quant Risk roles at Rabobank, focusing on risk modeling and quantitative analysis. Additional experience includes portfolio risk management at Aegon Asset Management and credit risk modeling at ABN AMRO Bank. Education includes a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics (Financial Engineering) from the University of Twente and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Brawijaya, with recognition for academic excellence in both degrees.
