Vijay Rajaram

Vijay Rajaram is a Principal Engineer at Coupang since July 2023, previously serving as the Systems and ML Engineering Lead at Twitter from August 2013 to February 2023. At Twitter, Vijay led the Search and Recommendations platform teams, establishing technical strategies for cross-team initiatives while focusing on execution and mentorship. Key achievements include co-architecting a scalable real-time event detection system processing over 3 million entities per minute and publishing research in KDD 2019. Prior experience includes software engineering roles at shopkick, GuestAssist, and Google, where Vijay developed innovative solutions and systems in various capacities. Vijay holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rice University.
