Xiaoye Huang

Xiaoye Huang is a Machine Learning Engineer at Coupang since August 2025, focusing on enhancing search relevance with large language models. Prior to this role, Xiaoye was a Senior Software Engineer at Google DeepMind from January 2025 to July 2025, contributing to the development of the GenAI - Gemini Developer API and AI Studio, along with work on RAG and Imagen. Xiaoye also served as a Senior Software Engineer at Google from August 2016 to January 2025, where responsibilities included work on GenAI, data infrastructure, and machine learning modeling for shopping query understanding. An earlier position as a Software Engineer Intern involved collaboration with the SearchAds-Ads Quality team. Additionally, Xiaoye was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology in early 2017. Xiaoye holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University.
