Karin Brandt

Karin Brandt has a wealth of experience in the field of urban planning and finance. Karin began their career in 2007 as a Refugee Legal Assistance Project Coordinator and Citizenship AmeriCorps Member at the Nationalities Service Center. In 2008, they worked as a Research Assistant for the Just Jerusalem 2050 Project at the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning. In 2009, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant for two courses at the same department. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy in various roles, including Research Analyst and Project Administrator and Research Assistant. In 2013, they founded and became the CEO of coUrbanize.

Karin Brandt received their Master in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2010. Karin earned their BA with honors and distinction in Political Science and International Studies from Iowa State University in 2007. In 2006, they participated in a study abroad program at the University of Ghana, focusing on Development Studies.
