Avinash AV is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data science and analytics. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Coursera since July 2022, Avinash is part of the Degree Marketing data science team. Previously, Avinash worked at Uber from April 2021 to May 2022 as a Data Scientist in the Uber Bus Data Science team, focusing on propensity models and churn analytics. Prior experience includes a role as a Machine Learning Engineer at RateGain, where Avinash developed predictions APIs for the travel sector, and a Consultant position at Aujas within the Fraud Analytics team for UIDAI, working on statistical models to detect identity fraud. Avinash also played a crucial role in setting up the Data Science division at GrabOn and began the career as a Business Analyst at Mu Sigma Inc. Avinash holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from the Army Institute of Technology, Pune.
