Melanie Steinbach is a seasoned human resources executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as Chief People Officer at MasterClass since January 2023, Melanie has also held significant positions, including Chief People Officer at Cameo and Senior Vice President, U.S. Chief People Officer at McDonald's. Additionally, a board member for the Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas, and a limited partner at LongJump, Melanie is active as an angel investor in multiple companies. Melanie’s career includes expertise as Chief Human Resources Officer at Milliken & Company and managing director roles at Russell Reynolds Associates and Spencer Stuart. Melanie holds an AB in Political Science from Duke University, earned from 1993 to 1997.

Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas
The Court was established in England in 1977 and sets the global standard of excellence for beverage service within the hospitality industry with integrity, exemplary knowledge, and humility. The first Master Sommelier Diploma Exam to be held in the United States was in 1987. The Americas chapter, which serves both North and South America, was established in 1987. Since then, 172 professionals have earned the title of Master Sommelier as part of the Americas chapter. The title Master Sommelier marks the highest recognition of wine and spirits knowledge, beverage service abilities, and professionalism in the hospitality trade.
