Marcelino Cancio-Rodríguez

Marcelino Cancio-Rodríguez is the current Chief Technical Officer at Couture Technologies. Marcelino has also previously worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Vanderbilt University, Kitsune Technology, Inria, and CIMNE.

Cancio-Rodríguez has experience in designing and developing compression algorithms, collecting and analyzing data, and Cybersecurity. Marcelino has also lectured on Big Data.

Cancio-Rodríguez has been awarded for their work on designing the first lossy compression algorithm for the storage of ARM instructions. Their work on this project improved storage space availability and network transfer speeds of code by means of higher compression ratios.

Marcelino Cancio-Rodríguez earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Université de Rennes I. Marcelino also holds a Doctoral School degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from EIT Digital Alumni. Additionally, they have a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Central "Marta Abreu"​ de Las Villas and a Bachelor's degree in Computer's Ccience from the same school.
