Fernando Baz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

From 2019 to the present, Fernando has been working at Covalent as an Engineering Manager. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer from 2021 to 2022, and as a Software Engineer from 2019 to 2021. In these roles, they contributed to solving challenges in workforce qualification management, implemented new web features, and supported the customer-facing team with technical issues.

Before joining Covalent, Fernando worked at Personal Wine as a Software Developer from 2017 to 2019. Fernando developed a new label and engraving Javascript designer using modern front-end techniques and implemented data-driven solutions.

In 2016, Fernando served as the Chief Development Officer at Tandem Games, where they planned production and content for the game "Domain of Heroes". Fernando also managed customer support and community management efforts and analyzed game data for decision making.

Prior to that, Fernando worked as a Producer & Designer at Radical Empathy Education Foundation in 2017. Fernando designed interactions using VR technology, acquired art and sound assets, and designed game progression and objectives.

Fernando's work experience also includes being a Creative Director at Imago from 2012 to 2015, where they designed a free-to-play mobile app called "Bingo Loteria" and led design and art development. Fernando also coordinated implementation with the engineering team.

From 2010 to 2012, Fernando worked as a Project Manager at Sneaky Games, where they ran daily scrum meetings and fostered a productive relationship with Syfy Ventures for the game "Syfy Monster Island".

In their early career, Fernando held various roles at Tandem Games and Sneaky Games. At Tandem Games from 2009 to 2010, they served as a Project and Community Manager, as well as an Artist/Designer, contributing to game development and community engagement events. At Sneaky Games from 2008 to 2009, Fernando worked as an Artist, designing and rendering 2D assets for an RPG web-based game.

Fernando's first industry experience was at Team 1 UP in 2008, where they won first place in the Game Design category at the ArtSpark Festival. Fernando contributed to game design, character development, and animation.

Lastly, in 2007, Fernando worked at Jersey Mike's Subs in a customer service role while attending school part-time.

Fernando Baz has a diverse educational background with studies in coding, animation, and engineering. Fernando attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2016 to 2017 and completed the Center for Professional Education's Coding Boot Camp. Prior to that, they pursued a 2D Animation Specialization at Austin Community College from 2005 to 2008. Before focusing on animation, Fernando obtained a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León from 2001 to 2003. Fernando also studied Mechanical Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey from 1998 to 2000.
