Juyue Chen

Juyue Chen has a strong background in machine learning engineering and research. They most recently worked as a Research Engineer at Covariant starting in October 2021. Prior to that, Juyue worked at Facebook as a Research Scientist (Machine Learning Engineer) in Ads Core ML from June 2020 to October 2021. In this role, they focused on improving ads ranking models using semi-supervised learning algorithms. Juyue also has experience as a Research Assistant at Yale University from September 2014 to June 2020, where they used mathematical models to understand biological motion detection. Additionally, Juyue gained industry experience as a Machine Learning Engineering Intern at Bloomberg LP in 2019, where they designed and implemented a question answering system using XLNet. They also interned as a Machine Learning Engineering Intern at Quicken Loans in 2018, where they developed an artificial neural network for Optical Character Recognition. Overall, Juyue has a solid foundation in machine learning engineering and research, with experience in algorithm development, model improvement, and neural network design.

Juyue Chen completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Peking University from 2010 to 2014. Following that, from 2014 to 2019, Juyue pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical & Computational Neuroscience from Yale University.
