George Yates

George Yates has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. George started their career in the United States Army as an Electronic Warfare Sergeant from 2009 to 2016. After that, they worked at U.S. Xpress Inc., where they held multiple roles including Driver Recruiter, Capacity Buyer, Capacity Supervisor, and Operations Manager from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they joined FreightWaves as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. George then moved on to Covenant, where they held positions such as Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, and Vice President and General Manager. George is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Transportation Management at Covenant. In addition to their professional career, George Yates also served on the Board of Directors for The Speech and Hearing Center from 2021 to 2022.

George Yates holds a Bachelor's Degree from Dalton State College. George has also obtained certifications including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Aveta Business Institute in 2019, Milestone Leadership Academy from Milestone Leadership in 2018, and Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) from the Transportation Intermediaries Association in 2015.
