Amalia Herman, SPHR, SHRMSCP, has a strong background in human resources with over 17 years of experience. Amalia is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at Covenant House Florida since August 2022. Prior to that, Amalia worked as the Human Resources Manager at Town of Davie from May 2022 to August 2022, where they also held the position of Human Resources Coordinator-Recruitment from March 2020 to June 2022. Amalia worked as the Regional Director of Human Resources at Pyramid Hotel Group from January 2018 to March 2020 and as the Director of Human Resources from October 2016 to March 2020. Before that, Amalia was the Director of Human Resources at DoubleTree by Hilton Sunrise - Sawgrass from August 2015 to October 2016 and at Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach from December 2012 to August 2015. Amalia served as the Complex Human Resources Director at Pyramid Hotel Group from November 2009 to December 2012 and as the Human Resources Director at Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach from March 2005 to November 2009. Amalia also has experience in accounting, having worked as the Accounting Manager at Doubletree Oceanfront Hotel from May 2003 to March 2005 and as an Accounting Clerk from 2002 to 2003.

Amalia Herman, SPHR, SHRMSPC has an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, which they obtained from Broward College in the years 1998 to 2001. Amalia also holds a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from Florida International University, having completed this program in 2018. Amalia has further enhanced their professional qualifications by obtaining certifications such as the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute in December 2013, and the SHRM-SCP Certification from SHRM in March 2015.
