Maya Singh

Maya (Sangara) Singh has a diverse work experience. Maya is currently working at Covenant House Vancouver as an Associate Director, leading business transformation and strategic initiatives. Prior to this role, they worked as the Associate Director of Executive Operations at the same organization.

Before joining Covenant House Vancouver, Maya worked at Traction on Demand as a Project Manager. Their responsibilities included managing projects from July 2021 to June 2022.

Maya's previous experience includes working at Covenant House Vancouver as the Manager of Infrastructure & Projects. In this role, they oversaw a $53 million capital expansion project involving the transformation of two buildings to provide services and programs to homeless and at-risk youth. Maya also led the digital transformation of the organization over a two-year period. Their responsibilities included engaging with internal and external teams, managing stakeholder communication, and implementing change management strategies.

Prior to joining Covenant House Vancouver, Maya worked at Leslie Forest Products Ltd. as the Manager of Operations and as a Project Manager. Maya was responsible for overseeing operations and managing projects during their time at the company.

Maya's earliest work experience was as an Elementary School Teacher at Richmond School District No. 38.

Maya (Sangara) Singh completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at The University of British Columbia from 2004 to 2009. Maya then pursued a Bachelor of Education at the same university from 2009 to 2011. Recently, from 2019 to 2021, Maya completed an Executive MBA at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.
