Jacob Hartin

Jacob Hartin has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and web consulting. Jacob has held various roles in different companies throughout their career. Jacob started as a Programmer at Global Game Jam in 2009, where they collaborated with a team to create a 2D platforming game. Jacob then worked as a Software Developer at the Center for Advanced Public Safety (CAPS) from 2007 to 2011, where they maintained their main website and worked on applications for multiple governmental agencies. Jacob also worked as a Web Developer at Group Health Cooperative and Hacker Group from 2011 to 2013, where they met with clients and project managers to develop strategies and produce designs for websites and other projects. Jacob further expanded their experience as a Software Engineer at Tennessee Valley Authority from 2015 to 2019, focusing on Build and Release Management. In 2013, they returned to Group Health Cooperative as a Web Developer and was introduced to agile processes. Jacob established their own web consulting business, Hartin Web Consulting, in 2008, offering services such as app and website development and system architecture implementation for clients nationwide. Currently, they hold a senior leadership position as the Senior Director of Application Development and Data Services at Covenant since 2022.

Jacob Hartin attended The University of Alabama from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Jacob then pursued further education at the same university and earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 2010 to 2011. In addition, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in 2021.
