Ishita Daga

Ishita Daga has extensive work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and data science. Ishita started their career as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Vodafone in 2017, where they gained knowledge in application development and worked on an internal MooC portal. Ishita then interned as a Data Scientist at Prakshep, where they focused on deep learning technologies such as CNN and deployed VGG & AlexNet architectures.

In 2018, Ishita joined Penn State University as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they worked until April 2020. During this time, they conducted research in an academic setting. Following their time at Penn State, Ishita worked as an SLT Intern at Interactions LLC in 2019, gaining experience in speech and language technology.

From 2020 onwards, Ishita joined Covera Health as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer and later advanced to the role of Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer. In their current position, they are responsible for improving diagnosis accuracy for MRI reports using cutting-edge NLP tools. Ishita builds statistical models, ML models, and dashboards, utilizing various algorithms such as transformers, NER, few-shot learning, and active learning. Ishita is also proficient in SQL, Python, PyTorch, Shell, and has experience with AWS, MLflow, Tableau, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Additionally, Ishita has participated in internships at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), where they worked in the avionics department, and at Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR), where they were a delegate.

Ishita Daga completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2017. In 2018, they pursued a Master's degree in Data Analytics at Penn State University, which they completed in 2019.
