Ricardo Cury, MD, is a Clinical Advisor at Covera Health. Dr. Cury received their medical degree from Florida International University - Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Ricardo completed their residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in body imaging at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Cury’s academic career includes serving as Professor and Chairman of Radiology at Florida International University - Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. In this role, they were responsible for the clinical, academic and research programs for the Department of Radiology. Ricardo also oversaw the development of the radiology residency program and served as its Program Director.

In June 2018, Dr. Cury joined Mednax as Chief Medical Officer of their National Medical Group. In this role, they oversaw one of the largest national radiology practices in the country with more than 800 physicians, performing 12 million studies per year to more than 2,000 facilities in all 50 US states. Ricardo was responsible for providing the strategic vision to the national practice in order to prioritize clinical excellence, best-in-class technology, strategic growth, meaningful data-analytics and effective and efficient administrative support. Ricardo collaborated with the senior management and physician leaders to develop meaningful priorities that enable consistent and sustainable growth. Additionally, they served as the leading physician to establish national centers of excellence, clinical KPIs and promote highly-specialized care. Ricardo Cury has a Master of Business Administration from Babson College and a Fellowship from Harvard Medical School in Cardiovascular Imaging - CT and MRI.
