Chris grew up on a family farm in east-central Indiana and has been working in agriculture all his life. After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Soil and Crop Management Chris spent much of his career at Monsanto (now Bayer) in corn breeding as a Testing and Operations manager. Before leaving Monsanto he was the field operations lead of the Climate Corporation field research program. After leaving Monsanto Chris joined Cibo Technologies as a research agronomist developing data sets for crop modeling. Chris has been with Covercress since August of 2019 supporting field agronomy, breeding, and grower relations.
