Krishan Rai has worked in various roles in the field of plant genetics since 2014. Krishan began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Texas Tech University. In 2016, they moved to Bayer Crop Science as a Postdoctoral Research Associate & Visiting Scientist. In 2018, they joined BASF as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Visiting Scientist. In 2019, they became a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Krishan is currently working at CoverCress Inc. as the Plant Genetics Director and Plant Geneticist Lead.
Krishan Rai obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biotechnology from National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, India & Department of Biotechnology, Kumaun University, Nainital, India between 2008 and 2014. Prior to that, they received a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from Allahabad Agricultural Institute between 2004 and 2006.
