Michelle Starke

Michelle Starke has been working in the agricultural industry since 1998. Michelle began their career at Monsanto Company, where they held multiple roles, including Science and Environmental Outreach Lead in Hawaii, Weed Management Stewardship Lead, Regulatory Affairs Manager, Product Label Manager, and Market Development Manager. In 2020, they joined Bayer Crop Science as a Commercialization Portfolio Manager, where they utilized their strengths of building networks and collaborating with teams, learning, and empathy to help bring innovations to implementation in seed production. In 2022, they joined CoverCress Inc. as the Regulatory and Stewardship Lead.

Michelle Starke began their education in 1988 when they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from McKendree University. Michelle then attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they earned a Master's Degree in Agronomy and Crop Science in 1995. Following this, they attended the University of Kentucky, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Agronomy and Crop Science in 1998. In 2021, Michelle obtained two additional certifications from LinkedIn: Leading with Purpose and Project Management: Technical Projects.
