Alexander Schmittinger

Alexander Schmittinger currently serves as SVP Global Head of CA Planning & Product Supply at Covestro, a position held since June 2020, following roles such as VP Global Head of Powder Coating Resins and Vice President Supply Chain Management within the same organization. Prior to this, Alexander accumulated significant experience at Covestro (Shanghai) Management Co Ltd, where responsibilities included Vice President Supply Chain Management and Director Global Product Management. Earlier career positions were held at Bayer MaterialScience AG and Bayer, with roles spanning Senior Product Line Manager, Senior Project Manager Mergers & Acquisitions, and Team Lead for Business Excellence. Alexander began his career at IIP - Institut für Industriebetriebslehre und Industrielle Produktion as a scientific employee. Alexander holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Chemical Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a Vordiplom in Chemical Engineering from TU Dortmund University.
