Rich Bender

Rich Bender is an experienced patent counsel currently at Covestro since January 2015, specializing in intellectual property counseling for polycarbonates and digital inventions, as well as drafting and prosecuting patent applications across multiple countries. Prior to this role, Rich served as a patent attorney at Greenberg Traurig from March 2005 to January 2015, focusing on various IP matters and significant involvement in patent prosecution and litigation. Rich's earlier experience includes positions in marketing and business development at BOC Gases, Mitsubishi International Corp., and Honeywell, along with an engineering role at Bayer. Rich holds a JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
