Magnus Jelen

Magnus Jelen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Magnus is currently the Director of Incident Response EMEA at Coveware since November 2022. Prior to this, from January 2018 to October 2022, they worked at Milas Group as the Security Management & IR Service Delivery Leader. Magnus was also a Member of Advisory Board at WelcomeBob from July 2020 to September 2021.

In their earlier career, Magnus held multiple roles at V G ApS from February 2018 to September 2021, including Board Member and COO/CSO. Magnus served as Partner & Head of Commercial Operations at Mangaard & Partners from April 2015 to January 2018. Magnus also gained valuable experience working for Politiets Efterretningstjeneste (PET), the Danish Security and Intelligence Service, from December 2010 to December 2017.

Before entering the security and intelligence field, Magnus served as a Detective Inspector in the Danish National Police from April 2007 to December 2010. Magnus began their professional career in the military, specifically the Royal Danish Navy, where they worked as an Able Seaman/Navy Diver/EOD from 2004 to 2007. Magnus also served in the Norwegian Armed Forces as an Enlisted/Quartermaster from July 2003 to July 2004.

Magnus Jelen began their education in 2007 at the Danish National Police Academy, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree. Following this, in 2014, they attended the Copenhagen Business Academy for a brief period to study Management and Organisation. In 2015, Magnus attended the University of St Andrews, specializing in Terrorism Studies. Additionally, Magnus obtained several certifications, including Cyber Threat Intelligence, Penetration Testing, Incident Response and Forensics, Cybersecurity Compliance Framework & System Administration, Cybersecurity Roles, Processes & Operating System Security, Introduction to Cybersecurity Tools & Cyber Attacks, and Network Security & Database Vulnerabilities from IBM. Moreover, they completed the Business Operations Associate program offered by LinkedIn. It is worth noting that Magnus also has a certification in People Test Logic, acquired from People Test Systems A/S, where the specific month and year of attainment is not mentioned.
