Steven Schilling

Steven Schilling has a diverse work experience in the field of industrial technology and application development. Steven served as the Director for Industrial Technology and Application Development at Covia since March 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Technical Director at Covia before transitioning to the Manager of Continuous Improvement in Ways of Working from February 2019 to June 2019. Before joining Covia, Schilling worked at Fairmount Santrol where they held various positions including Director of Process Technology from 2017 to 2019, Manager of Product Performance from 2016 to 2017, Senior Technical Manager from 2012 to 2016, Technical Manager from 2010 to 2012, and Technical Engineer from 2009 to 2010. Steven began their professional career at the University of Northern Iowa, working as a Researcher at the Metal Casting Center from 2006 to 2009, Chinese-English Instructor in 2007, and Resident Assistant from 2005 to 2007.

Steven Schilling completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology with a focus on Metal Casting and Manufacturing Design from the University of Northern Iowa in 2008. Steven then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2018 to 2020. In addition, Steven enrolled in a Lean Manufacturing program at the University of Houston in 2018.
