Senior Product Designer at Coviance

Roman S. has a diverse background in design, with a focus on web and product design. Currently, they are the Lead Product Designer at Coviance, where they collaborate with stakeholders to create a new generation of the Home Equity platform. Roman conducts user research, plans user experiences, and creates mock-ups. Additionally, they manage the internal design system and works closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features.

Prior to Coviance, Roman worked as a Web Content Specialist at LottieFiles, conducting interviews with designers worldwide and using the insights to write articles for the LottieFiles blog. Roman also held the position of Lead Shopify Product Designer at Blenders Eyewear, where they worked on product design for the Shopify platform.

Roman has extensive experience in UI/UX design, having served as a Senior UI/UX Designer at Shift Interactive, LLC from 2014 to 2021. Before that, they worked as a Web Designer and Front-end Developer at Flying Hippo Web Technologies from 2010 to 2014. Roman also gained experience as a Graphic Designer at Saturday Mfg. in 2010 and as a Web Designer at dhg Communications in 2009.

Roman S. began their education in 2004 at Kyiv Polytechnical University, where they pursued a two-year degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. After completing their studies there in 2006, they enrolled in Des Moines Area Community College from 2007 to 2009, earning an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Graphic Design.

In 2019, Roman S. attended the School of Motion for an AfterEffects Bootcamp, focusing on Motion Design.

In addition to their formal education, Roman S. has obtained several certifications. In 2020, they completed the "JavaScript Essential Training" course from LinkedIn. The following year, in 2021, they obtained certifications in "Google Analytics for Beginners" from Google and "Photoshop 2020 Essential Training: The Basics" from LinkedIn. In 2022, Roman S. obtained a certification in "Learning Google Tag Manager" from LinkedIn. Prior to that, in 2021, they completed a course on "Build a Shopify Store From Scratch" from Udemy.
